Averett University Aeronautics Major

Averett's excellence in aviation is widely recognized. We were selected to provide an undergraduate baccalaureate education to active-duty Marines at Marine Corps Air Station at Quantico — home of the HMX-1 and the Presidential helicopter fleet. We also led the state in the development of NASA's Small Aircraft Transportation System (SATS).

Students are prepared to earn their FAA certificates and ratings in a number of areas including: private, instrument, commercial, flight instructor, multi-engine, instrument instructor and multi-engine instructor.
