Visiting Teams

Dear Athletic Trainer,

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your team to Averett University in Danville, VA.   Our athletic training room, located in the Grant Center at North Campus, will be open for you 1.5 hours prior to each event/game.   We have hydrocolator packs, whirlpools, ice, e- stim, and ultrasound available.   There will be a certified athletic trainer on duty to assist you in any way. If you have any special needs, please call us in advance so that we can fully accommodate you. 

If your team is traveling with a certified athletic trainer, our facilities and modalities will be available for your use.   However, if you are not sending a certified athletic trainer, or you are sending a student, we ask that you send a prescription from either an ATC or a team physician for modalities.   We will also perform any taping that is required, however we ask that you provide all needed supplies (Averett Athletic Training will not provide any supplies needed for taping/bracing).  

During the game/match we will provide ice, water, cups, any emergency equipment/splints, biohazard supplies and ice bags.
