Food and housing are provided, plus a salary. The Blue Ridge Mountains Council of the Boy Scouts of America operates a summer camp near Radford, VA. We have two horse riding programs that need adult directors (male or female, age 21 or older): 1) Instruction in Horsemanship Merit Badge. Live in a cabin in a Boy Scout base camp and get your meals from a dining hall. The camp has electricity, hot showers and the modern amenities. On weekdays train Scouts in basic riding skills. We use western tack. 2) Lead trail rides as a wrangler for our High Knoll Trail backpacking program. Camp in a remote mountain outpost without electricity.
