The person I am today is because of education I received from Averett and I think about my Averett professors often. Thank you for your mathematical guidance.
This program opened many doors for me in understanding mathematics with its focus on theory and the practice of writing proper and formal proofs. I was also introduced to logic in a very in-depth manner. Since I frequently study advanced science and mathematics texts for recreation and enjoyment, I am now able to read and understand material that I could not before getting my degree from Averett.
Averett University prepared me in everyway possible for life after college. I learned so much about mathematics, education and myself while in this program. As a high school mathematics teacher, I am able to incorporate the ideas learned at Averett into my lessons each day for my students, and they truly benefit from this experience. The math professors at Averett will always hold a special place in my heart.
