Modern Languages

Averett's modern language degree includes courses in French or Spanish with supporting study in the other language. Students have the opportunity to major in modern languages or minor in French or Spanish. Students who wish to teach may elect to major in education with a concentration in either language.

The French and Spanish programs are proficiency-based, with students learning practical language skills as they progress through each level of proficiency.
