Averett's Spanish minor

Students who minor in Spanish will have the opportunity to not only learn the language but to gain perspective on the beautiful Spanish cultures.

The University's Spanish program is proficiency-based. Students learn practical language skills as they progress through each level of proficiency. Our placement program ensures that students are placed in the proper class to match their skill level.

Language classes are small, which allows for more personal attention and more class time for student speaking and participation. Averett faculty have led study abroad classes in Europe and Latin America.
