Expertise: While Clark's academic focus is Sapphic modernism, her interests include
world literature, queer and gender theory and ancient/modern comparisons. She is
committed to multidisciplinary approaches to literature, fueled by her teaching
experiences in women's studies, languages across the curriculum and international
studies. She is also committed to foster study abroad as part of the Averett
curriculum.
Qualifications: Bachelor of arts, Salem College
Master of arts & doctor of philosophy degrees in comparative literature,
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She has received several fellowships in order to spend summers studying at Middlebury's
French Language School and at the Sorbonne in Paris. |
