Averett's Religion major

The religion department at Averett prepares its students for the ministry and graduate school. Students are exposed to a solid curriculum in biblical study and theology combined with courses that will broaden their understanding of religion in culture.

Coursework
In addition to biblical courses, religion majors can choose from a variety of classes including:

• World Religions
• African-American Religions
• Death and Dying
• Ethics
• Spirituality in Business and Commerce

Seniors are required to complete a research thesis.
