Transfer Students
Untitled Document

Fill out the FAFSA early! The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  Averett uses the FAFSA information to determine your eligibility for federal assistance as well as state and institutional need based financial assistance.  You can complete the FAFSA any time after January 1 of the year you plan to enroll.  Averett does not have a priority deadline but does recommend that new students complete the FAFSA before March 1.  Apply for a Federal Pin (personal identification number) to complete your FAFSA. Important: Your parents may need to apply for a PIN also. The PIN is used to electronically sign the FAFSA and access your information. Make sure Averett's Title IV code (003702) is listed.  The FAFSA processing center will send a copy (SAR) to both you and Averett once your application is processed. Please review for errors and correct as needed. Click here

Important:   Be sure to check your email account for additional communication from Averett. If additional information is requested, respond quickly. If you do not understand the request, call the Student Financial Services Office or your financial counselor for an explanation or assistance.

You will receive an Award Notification by email to your Averett email and the email address that you list on your FAFSA.   Your award will indicate the types and amounts of assistance you are being offered and will provide instructions about what you must do to receive your financial aid. You can view and accept your award online, click AU NetPartner once you are notified.
