Bachelor of Business Administration (Working Professionals, Accelerated)
Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Management (Quantico Campus only)

  • High school completion with a GPA of 2.0 or a GED of 250, and a 2.0 grade point average on any previous college work. (exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis). Applicants need not submit a high school transcript if: they have 12 or more transferable credits with a grade of "C" or better from a regionally accredited college and the transcript shows that they were degree seeking.
  • Two years of full-time work experience and a current resume
  • Two letters of recommendation (must not be a relative or friend - one must be from a previous or current supervisor)
  • A score of 500 (paper-based total), 173 (computer-based total), or 61 (internet-based) on the TOEFL for foreign national students. One of the following will be accepted in lieu of a TOEFL exam: 1) 30 or more transferable credits including an English composition course with a grade of "C" or better from an accredited American college where English is the language of delivery 2) Student is an active member or veteran of American armed forces
  • Access to a computer with: word processing, graphical presentation software, spreadsheet capabilities and Internet

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • A cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) over the last two years (or 60 hours) of undergraduate study for full admission status. See the catalog for information on limited admission
  • Three letters of recommendation (forms available from the Graduate Program Advisor)
  • Evidence that the applicant holds or is immediately eligible for a Virginia
    teaching license if a non-licensure program is desired.
  • Scores on one of the following standardized tests: Praxis I ( if seeking licensure), the aptitude test of the Graduate Record Examination, or the Miller Analogies Test
  • Pass a writing proficiency test. Details may be obtained from the Graduate Education Program Advisor

Note: If you desire teacher certification you must hold a degree in a subject area in which Averett offers a teaching license if secondary licensure is sought

Master of Business Administration (Working Professionals, Accelerated)
Master of Education - Accelerated (not available in all locations)

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Official transcripts for the last 60 credits of the undergraduate degree - transcripts must indicate date undergraduate degree was received
  • A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) over the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate study toward a baccalaureate degree. The Graduate Admissions Committee may consider students who are below a 3.0 GPA for admission.
  • Three years of full-time work experience and a current resume
  • Three letters of recommendation (must not be a relative or friend)
  • A score of 600 (paper-based total) or 250 (computer-based total) on the TOEFL for foreign national students. One of the following will be accepted in lieu of a TOEFL exam: 1) 30 or more transferable credits including an English composition course with a grade of "C" or better from an accredited American college/university where English is the language of delivery 2) Student is an active member or veteran of American armed forces
  • Access to a computer with: word processing, graphical presentation software, spreadsheet capabilities and Internet
