Jut's Café's New Hours
Jut's Café's hours will change starting Monday, March 15. The new hours are:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. & 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
Saturday, Closed
Sunday, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Career Fair
Averett, in collaboration with DCC, will host a Career and Networking Fair on Tuesday, March 23 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research's Conference Center. More than 50 employers from across the state are expected to be there. Transportation will be provided. For more information, contact the Career Services Center at ext. 15629 or careers@averett.edu.

Breakfast Seminar
Noted author, speaker and educator Sir Ken Robinson, Ph.D. will speak at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research on Tuesday, March 16 from 7:30-9 a.m. Robinson's presentation will look at creativity and innovation in education. The event is free and open to the public although reservations are required through the Chamber of Commerce (chamber@dpchamber.org) by March 10.

Outstanding Faculty & Staff Award
It's time to nominate your co-workers for the annual Outstanding Faculty and Staff awards. Please start considering who you would like to nominate and drafting your letters. An e-mail will go out next week with more details. Nominations must be in no later than the close of business April 7.

Dietetic Intern Working with Bon Appétit
Janice Bailey, '76, a dietetic intern from Virginia Tech will start working with Bon Appétit on Monday, March 15. She will be on campus Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Any faculty, staff or student that wants a one-on-one consult about their dietary needs can call 791-7307 to make an appointment.

To My Averett Family
I cannot begin to thank you enough for the outpouring of support during the past few weeks. Your cards, e-mails, and gifts were so very generous and encouraging. Since the day we interviewed, I have felt a part of the Averett community and that is affirmed each and every day. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my newly reconstructed heart!

Music Professor Leads Choirs
Dr. Gail Allen, music professor, guest conducted the senior high school choir on Saturday, March 6 for the Danville Public Schools All-City Chorus. She will also be adjudicating the District VI Virginia High School Choral Festival at Radford University on Friday, March 19. Way to go, Gail!
