Education Majors Inducted into New Honor Society
Thirty-three charter members were inducted into the Alpha Zeta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) International Honor Society.

W-I-N-N-E-R-S!
Congratulations to the Averett team of Linda Lemery, Jennifer Robinson and Jim Verdini, this year's JeopardBee winners. They scored 3200 points and donated $50 to Project Literacy on behalf of Averett.







Faculty Promotions
Dr. Eugene, "Gene," Steadman and Dr. John Termini were both promoted to professor of business administration for the Adult Professional Program. Gene has taught at Averett since 1993 and John joined the faculty in 1995. Congratulations, gentlemen!



Boor Promoted to New Position
Drew Boor, '07, admissions counselor was recently promoted to the newly created position of assistant director/athletics liaison. Drew will continue to serve as an admissions counselor and will also work with the athletics department as a liaison for their recruiting efforts.




Individuals Place in IDA Nationals
During the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) national competition at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, N.C. two students from Averett placed. Laura Thompson, junior, was third in her class at the upper training level. Senior Katie Lopresti was fourth in the intro level. The girls competed against students from across the country, about 20 schools were represented. Congratulations, Laura and Katie!
