Bookstore Day
The ladies at The Schoolfield House Booksellers are holding a faculty/staff appreciation day on Wednesday, Feb. 2 from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Stop by for light refreshments and enjoy a 20 percent discount on most purchases.

Softball Field Beautification
The softball team is holding a fundraiser in an effort to beautify their playing field. For a $10 donation a tree can by planted in honor or memory of someone. The tree, which will be planted around the outfield fence line, will have a plaque placed under it recognizing the person(s) the tree was donated in memory of. Pizza Deals
Domino's Pizza has several special deals for Averett faculty, staff and students. These value meals may be used in the store, over the phone (793-3278), or placed online. The deals are as follows:
1) One large cheese or one topping pizza $7.99 (code 9601)
2) One medium two topping and a 20 oz. drink $7.99 (code 9602)
3) One extra large cheese pizza $7.99 (code 9603)
4) Choose any three bread sides $7.99 (code 9604)
5) One small one topping and breadsticks $7.99 (code 9605)

Sam's Club Membership
A representative from Sam's Club will be on campus Tuesday, Feb. 8 and Thursday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. outside the dining hall. Employees may renew their membership at this time, obtain a membership card or if they are already a Sam's Club member they may switch to an Averett membership card.

University Helps Kick off Live Healthy Challenge
On Saturday, Jan. 26, Live Healthy Danville Pittsylvania County held its kick off event at the North Campus. This 100-day wellness challenge is a community wide effort focused on healthier lifestyles. It provided attendees with free health screenings and nutrition and health information. There was also a "Celebrity Challenge" basketball competition during halftime of the men's basketball game.
