Promising Students Could Earn Promise Awards
Averett believes that a higher education should be available to everyone, not just the select few. To that end, we often admit students we believe show promise. The University recently received a gift from the Daly family that will help these students financially.

In an effort to better help students with their financial questions and concerns the University has created a new department, student financial services, which is being led by Carl Bradsher.

Over the years Averett has seen traditions come and go. On Wednesday, Feb. 2, a new tradition was started when the alumni office hosted a dinner for seniors.

Just a note to tell you all how much I appreciated the beautiful flowers that you sent when my Daddy passed away in December. Thank you for your prayers, calls and cards. They all meant so much.



Adult Professional Program Gives the Gift of Food
For a canned good/non-perishable food item from prospective students, the Adult Professional Program waived their $50 application fee during the month of December. The 125 pounds of perishable and non-perishable food items they collected was donated to Lynchburg based Daily Bread, Inc. last month.
