It's spring semester, and for most students it's not a big deal. But for seniors, now that's another story entirely. On Wednesday, Feb. 2 the alumni office hosted a special dinner for seniors to honor them and at the same time share important information they need as they prepare to graduate.

The dinner was held in the multi-purpose room of the Student Center and the University's highly trained wait staff specifically faculty and staff served the meal. The evening included some great prizes, including the grand prize of a diploma frame.

Speakers from the Alumni Board, and the offices of alumni, registrar, development, financial aid and career services shared information with the seniors.

"All of the speakers did a great job of congratulating the seniors and giving some pointers on how to be ready to graduate," said Dan Hayes, director of alumni relations. "Petrina Carter really hit a home run in getting the future alumni excited by saying, 'in 87 days you will graduate, congratulations in 89 days, you'll need a job, come see me!' The dinner really gave the seniors a chance to wrap their heads around what it means to graduate in addition to being pampered by their mentors."

Special thanks go out to Pattie Cairns, '74; Julie Lochridge, '55; Carl Bradsher; Petrina Carter; Feleta Morton, '10; Joey Wilkerson, '07; Sherry McDowell, '12; Lesley Villarose; Bill Woodward; Linda Lemery, '84; Ginger Henderson, '91; Deb DeMarey; Susan Huckstep, '89; Bill Trakas; Jackie Finney, '89 and Hayes, '92.
