Come See the Next Rembrandt or Degas

Almost since the birth of man, people have been creating art as a way of expressing themselves. Tiny drilled snails more than 75,000 years old have been found in caves in South Africa, and of course there are the cave and rock paintings that have been discovered. While certainly not as old, the art work by our own art students will be just as interesting upon viewing. Make sure you make time to stop by the multi-purpose room in the Student Center beginning March 18 to check out work from the University's up and coming artists. The show will be on display until April 17.

The art show will feature a wide variety of work from art majors, art minors and other students who have taken art classes since the spring of 2010. Drawings, paintings and prints in the 2-D areas will depict a variety of both realistic and abstract art. Sculpture, pottery and enameling will also be featured with emphasis on a variety of techniques. The art work that is for sale will include contact information for the student.
