Disney Favorites and Rock Classics Featured in Equestrian Show

A production like no other, this weekend's equestrian studies production is sure to delight people of all ages. "Around the World in 80 Days" will feature horses and riders performing together to music. The production will be performed at 7:00 p.m. April 8-9 and at 2 p.m. April 10 at the University's Equestrian Center in Providence, N.C.

Horses and riders will perform to a variety of music from America, India, Spain and Italy. Some of the songs used in the performances include "Jai Ho" from "Slumdog Millionaire," "R.O.C.K. in the USA" by John Mellencamp, "Circle of Life" from "The Lion King" and "Colors of the Wind" from "Pocahontas."

The show will feature 25 different horses and riders, including guest riders from up and down the East Coast along with several alumni. Some of the selections will feature solo riders and others will have up to 14 riders. The grand finale has all 25 riders and horses performing.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door and seating is limited. Fifty percent of the proceeds will benefit Horses and Humans Research Foundation.
