 | Emergency Alert System In an emergency, everyone needs to get important information as quickly as possible. Averett's E2Campus Alert System is an important emergency communications tool.
This system is designed to send users a message via email and/or mobile phone in the case of a campus emergency. However, you must remember to register and then periodically update your account!
Please go now to safety and either register for this beneficial service or update your information to be sure you don't miss critical alerts from Averett University.

 | North Campus Adopts an Angel The housekeeping and grounds department at Averett's North Campus donated a bike, clothes, toys and shoes for a seven year old boy that they adopted from a local Angel Tree.

 | AT Students Collaborate with Duke Students in the athletic training program are working on a collaborative research project with Dr. Rob Butler, director of the biomechanics lab at Duke University. They are performing the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) on the AU men's and women's soccer teams. The goal of the project is to determine if the FMS results can be improved by giving exercise.
The test is being performed on two different groups, and corrective exercise is given to one group. Then the students will go back and retest both groups to see if the intervention group improved their original scores. They will also track injuries and gather performance data to see if there is a relationship.
