There are a limited number of free tickets for a performance by the Tschaikowski St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, whose appearance is sponsored by the Danville Concert Association. The concert is Friday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at George Washington High School. For tickets, please contact Jennifer Hooper at ext. 15600.

Make plans to attend the third lecture in the 1859-Coffeehouse Lecture Series on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. in Jut's Café. Vince Kania will present "Federal Taxation - The Real Story" and Dr. Becky Clark will present "Letting Their Hair Down: Community in the Barber Shops and Beauty Salons of Film."

Brandy Perkins '07 will be working in Averett's Counseling Center this semester as an intern. Brandy completed her graduate degree in marriage and family counseling at Liberty University. She has experience providing individual and child counseling. While at Averett, she will conduct intake interviews, counseling sessions and facilitate psycho-educational groups.

Alumna Publishes Paper
Nadeshda "Nayda" Balabanova Enachescu '03 will have a paper published in the winter issue of the "International Journal of Mobile Marketing." The paper, which she co-authored with six MBA students at Loyola Marymount University, is titled "Mobile Payments - The Reality on the Ground in Selected Asian Countries and the US." Nayda lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Ramon, and is a business intelligence specialist with Loyola Marymount University. She is formerly of Sofia, Bulgaria.
