|Bookstore Announces Graduation and Summer Hours|
The Schoolfield House Booksellers will be open Friday, April 27 until 8:00 p.m. for graduates and their families.
Its hours for the summer will be reduced beginning Monday, May 14. Their regularly scheduled hours will resume Monday, Aug. 6. The summer hours are listed below.
Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sunday Noon-3 p.m.
Pay dates for the second quarter of 2012:
April 10 - Semi-Monthly Payroll
April 25 - Semi-Monthly and Full- time Faculty and Staff
May 10 - Semi-Monthly Payroll
May 25 - Semi-Monthly and Full- time Faculty and Staff

All timesheets are due by the fifth of each month.
|Make it Happen March 2012 Meeting|
During the March Make It Happen meeting the community outreach and enrollment committee as well as the student life committee gave their reports. The community outreach and enrollment committee is researching the effectiveness of four-year guaranteed tuition on enrollment and retention at universities comparable to Averett and whether this would be an effective tool to use here. In addition, they will be surveying faculty, staff and students to determine their involvement in community activities.
The student life committee reported that a website is being created for SGA that includes an online feedback form for program suggestions. In addition, the SGA is working with the communications office to develop a newsletter similar to Coffee Break. The committee will also be conducting a survey of students to evaluate their involvement on University committees.
There will be a strategic planning workshop for sub-committee co-chairs and members on April 19.
|Questions About Social Security & Medicare?|
Crystal Harris from the health and life services division of BB&T will host a webinar discussing the how to's of Social Security and Medicare May 10 from 9-10 a.m. in the conference room on the fourth floor of the Student Center. Harris will provide a timeline for anyone planning to retire, applying for Social Security and Medicare benefits.

Lewis Giles, our AFLAC representative, will be available for questions, answers and enrollments on Thursday, May 17 from 1-5 p.m. in the Student Center. Mark your calendars now!
