coffeebreakAU Student Spotlight
Meet Lee Maddox, an MBA student who expects to finish his degree program next July and walk across the stage in December 2014.

What is your motivation for obtaining your degree from Averett?
For many of us, an education will serve as the foundation for our success. I am convinced that success is being prepared when opportunity presents itself. Louis Pasteur, a French chemist, once said, "Chance favors only the prepared mind."

What do you like most about your degree program?
The one night per week class schedule and the centralized location of the Innsbrook Campus are key factors that influenced me in attending Averett's GPS program.

What advice do you have for your fellow classmates and future AU students?
Success stems around planning and preparation. With that being said, setting realistic goals, believing in oneself and always respecting others are words of wisdom to live by.

coffeebreakAU Student Spotlight
Meet Vicki Collins, a BBA student who anticipates graduating this December.

What is your motivation for obtaining your degree from Averett?
Obtaining a college degree has been a long time goal. When I started back in 2008, it was the right time to make it happen. In the future, I hope it might also help me to further my career path.

What do you most like about your degree program?
Our focus is on one class at a time, which is great. Since the classes are accelerated, just about the time you are getting tired of one class (subject) you are moving onto the next class.

What advice do you have for your fellow classmates and future AU students?
Do not procrastinate and wait until the last minute to do an assignment! I have found things I thought would take no time to complete have taken two to three times longer than I anticipated. Get those assignments completed early!
