Provide Clean Drinking Water
Enactus, one of our student organizations, has two humanitarian projects they are working on this semester. The group is collecting funds to purchase Lifestraws, a water purification system, that will provide pure water to children five and under as well as pregnant women in Haiti. For each Lifestraw purchased, one child will have clean water for a year. Purchase one straw for $10 or three for $25. This is a tax deductible contribution.
For more information about Lifestraw visit www.buylifestraw.com. To make a contribution contact Dr. Nancy Ryan, the group's advisor, at email@example.com.
Women's History Month
In honor of March being Women's History Month, some of our students have put together a small poster session. Please stop by the multipurpose room in the Student Center on Thursday, March 20 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. to see what they have created. The posters will celebrate the significant contributions of women to our society.
At 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22 several aviation alumni are hosting a golf outing at Danville Country Club to raise some money for the flight team. It's $50 to play. If you would like to join in on the fun, please contact Dan Hayes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Annual Club Carnival
This year the clubs really wanted to support ONE Averett and host our Club Carnival on Saturday, March 29 at the North Campus. Please come out and be a part of our ONE Averett movement from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and support our softball team afterwards for a double header.
