June 2012

Summer classes are in full swing, and we're working hard to prepare the campus for our new and returning students in the fall.  On June 22-23, we will welcome 100 new freshmen to campus for our first of two summer orientations.  Orientation is always an exciting time for us because we're welcoming new family into the fold and introducing them to what makes Averett such a great place to be.

If you're looking for something to do this summer, make plans to spend time with us. Our alumni office has several family fun events planned including a picnic June 23 at Great Neck Lock Park in Chesapeake, a day at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg June 30, a day at Virginia Beach July 21 and a day at Emerald Pointe August 11.  If you would like to attend any of these events, please contact our alumni office at 1-800-AVERETT, ext. 15676, or alumni@averett.edu.
