Averett is continuing its efforts to be greener!No, we're not changing our school colors from blue and gold.I'm pleased to announce we are the recipient of a grant from the Energy ALERT Alliance that will allow us to install energy efficient lighting inside and outside all of our facilities, including our satellite campuses across the state.By the time the project is complete, approximately 1,500 light fixtures in offices, residence halls, classrooms and computer labs around Averett will be more "green."

As we approach mid-summer, the pace of change is not slowing a bit around our main campus, regardless of the heat.We welcome new faces among our faculty and staff, and we're looking forward to the large incoming class this fall.All this change is energizing, and I am very excited about what we are doing to better serve our students as we prepare them for bold futures.
