The old adage says the month of March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. And this month is full of activity at Averett. The finishing touches are being added to the portico of the Galesi Family Student Success Center, which we opened in the fall. We welcomed 97 talented high school students on campus last month for Averett's Scholarship Day, where they earned additional scholarship monies based on their academic merit. Construction and renovation has begun in the former Dimon headquarters building in Danville's Tobacco Warehouse district as we prepare to repurpose part of that historic space to grow our Graduate and Professional Studies classroom and administrative space. Yes, whatever the weather, March is a month of change!
