Cali Earp is a Danville native and current graduate student in Averett's education department. Earp, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in sequential art from Savannah College of Art and Design, has an art show in Jut's Café this month. The above photo is a sculpture of herself, which is a part of her art show. Make plans to stop by Jut's and view Earp's work, some of which is for sale.

Her artistic endeavors include a little bit of everything, but her primary interests are drawing, jewelry making, digital illustration and comic books. Once she graduates, she hopes to teach art.

Greetings from our beautiful campus, where the signs of fall can be seen all around us.At this time of year, if you walk our halls you'll see a common occurrence - faculty and students huddled in offices discussing a current project or planning classes for next semester. If you visit Pritchett Auditorium you are likely to catch the theatre and music departments putting the finishing touches on their performance of "Guys And Dolls."I invite you to come see this classic Broadway musical during one of its four shows.

Make plans to join us on Nov. 29 as we welcome in the Christmas and Advent season with our annual Averett Celebrates Christmas event. This is also the night that the Averett campus will be lit up for the holiday season with our ever popular Christmas balls.Feel free to join us in our dining hall for its annual holiday meal - this is a special treat enjoyed by everyone on campus.

In this season of Thanksgiving, we want to express gratitude to all those who support Averett in so many ways! It's the continued support of so many people in the community that allows us to do what we do - prepare young adults and working adults for a brighter future.
