Position Description/Application Process
Averett University invites applications for a full time tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Chemistry to teach introductory and upper level courses. The successful candidate will have a broad background, expertise in biochemistry and will show evidence of success in teaching undergraduates, flexibility and a commitment to liberal arts education. Anticipated course rotation includes Biochemistry, Chemistry for the Life Sciences, General Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Pharmacology and Introduction to Biology. A commitment to working with undergraduates and to student success is essential. Other responsibilities include student advising, committee work and assistance in student recruiting. A Ph. The Department of Business Administration at Averett University seeks applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure-track) appointment to begin August 2012. The university is located in the Southside Virginia, about 45 miles north of Greensboro, North Carolina. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
