Friends of the Library Library Friends are wonderful people who
make annual contributions to the Mary B. Blount Library, enabling us to develop
collections for Averett's academic programs and enhance public areas of the building. With an annual donation of $30 or more, local Friends have complimentary borrowing
privileges for books in the circulating collection and use of designated
computers in the Reference area.
Consider honoring a pastor, colleague or relative with a Library Friends gift membership. Join
the Library Friends today!
We will apply your Friends donation to one or more current projects :

Re-envisioning digital library services (discover.averett.edu).
·
Re-envisioning print collections.
·
Books for our “New and Notable”
collection to encourage students’ general reading.
·
Furniture for public areas of the
library, minor remodeling (paint, wallpaper, etc.).
·
Multimedia facility for use by students
and Friends.
Mission: The library advances the currriculum, research and reading interests of Averett students with scholarly and professional sources, reference consultations and instruction. We welcome faculty, staff, alumni and friends as partners in education and models of success.
