Renew books by phone:
If you are a current Averett student, employee, or library associate with no outstanding library fines, you may renew materials for one additional loan period. Items on hold for another patron cannot be renewed. Simply telephone the Circulation Desk at 791-5690, and have the books handy. If you are out of town, call the Reference Desk at 800-543-9440. If you have preregistered for an upcoming semester, you may borrow materials past the end of the current term, however you must be able to return them to the library on the due date. The library sends courtesy notices 2-3 days prior to each due date. When you call, make sure that we have your preferred e-mail address. Patrons are responsible for returning materials on time regardless of changes in postal or e-mail addresses. The fine for overdue books is 25 cents per item per day. The fine for overdue equipment is $5.00 per day. The fine for overdue Course Reserve items is $1.00 per day.
