Job Fair to be Held at Averett's Richmond Campus at the Watkins Centre

Averett University's Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) Program will be sponsoring a Job Fair Monday Oct. 10 at its southside Richmond Campus (15521 Midlothian Turnpike) at the Watkins Centre. The Job Fair, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. More than 30 companies from the Richmond area will be on hand to discuss available job opportunities.

Some of the companies that will be represented include AT&T Mobility, Frito Lay, Capital One, WRIC TV8, Chesterfield County Government, VCU Health System, UPS, Media General, Hill Phoenix, Bank of America and Mondial Assistance.

In addition to providing area residents with the opportunity to meet with potential employers, the event will feature workshops on resume writing, interview skills, connecting with decision makers and electronic job searching.
