The accolades keep coming for the soccer teams this season. The men's soccer team jumped in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's regional rankings for the first time in several decades on Oct. 11. The Cougars (8-3-1, 1-1-0 USA South) are ranked ninth in the South Atlantic Region.
Averett is coming off 3-0 wins last week at Randolph-Macon College and at Shenandoah University. The Cougars return to action at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at Methodist University, which is ranked tenth in the regional rankings.
