IHSA Team Competes at Virginia Tech

On Sunday, Oct. 23, Averett University's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Team competed against 10 teams at Virginia Tech coming in fourth, which was quite a feat considering they didn't have a full team.

Jessie Hayes, a sophomore from Indian Trail, N.C., came in first on the flat and second over fences. Hailey Brown, also a sophomore, came in first over fences, helping Averett pull out the fourth place win.

Individual wins were: Nicki Conradt-Eberlin, a freshman from Richmond, who placed first in walk/trot/canter and Alicia Gentile, a senior from Greensboro, N.C., who placed second and pointing out for the walk/trot/canter division.
