Theatre Auditions for "All My Sons"

January 3, 2011

Averett's theatre department will hold open auditions for interested persons ages 18 and up for Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" on Jan. 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Pritchett Auditorium. Auditionees need to come prepared with a 30-60 second serious monologue. In addition, a boy aged 9-12 is needed for one of the roles.

"All My Sons," which will be performed February 23-25, is a Post-World War II story about the Kellers, a seemingly "All-American" family. However, the father, Joe Keller, has a secret. During the war, he allowed his factory to ship faulty parts to the U.S. Armed Forces, which cause the death of more than 20 pilots. He framed his partner and engineered his own exoneration. Now, his son is about to marry the partner's daughter, the affair is revisited, and his secret comes out.
