Welcome to the New AU Website

Jan. 19, 2012

Welcome to the redesigned Averett website. We have vastly improved our site in several key areas to make it easier for you, the user. The redesign started with user feedback and then incorporated best practices from award-winning college sites from across the U.S. We hope you will like the new site!

The redesigned site achieves several key improvements:
- Simplified navigation for users
- Reduced content on our web server
- A more contemporary look

The same navigation menu will appear at the top of all web pages throughout the Averett site. The drop-down menus in this navigation menu give users access to much more information within one click from the front page. Content is organized under heading labels that are common for many university websites.

We welcome any feedback (compliments, questions, etc.) about the new page.

Next up is the development of a mobile-friendly Averett site. An increasing number of our prospective students use mobile devices as their primary connection to the internet. The Averett mobile site will have fewer graphics and be organized to load faster on mobile devices. Its roll-out is planned for later in the first quarter of 2012.
