MBA Class Creates Red Cross Collegiate Chapter

MBA students taking an organizational behavior and contemporary issues in leadership course with Dr. John Guarino were required to complete a community service project. The “A Team,” as they call themselves, created a collegiate chapter of the American Red Cross. The group helped man a table at the Festival in the Park Health Fair on May 19.

They created the chapter not only to assist the local Red Cross office in the community, but to get Averett students active in helping the community of Danville and to help them get training for disaster relief, CPR and other Red Cross courses. In the fall, they will be set up at the Club Fair on campus.
