Theatre Department Holding Auditions for "Jungalbook"

Averett University's theatre department will hold open auditions for "Jungalbook" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 in Pritchett Auditorium. Those interested in auditioning should come prepared with a 30-second monologue. A boy age 11-14 is needed for one of the roles.

"Jungalbook," which is this year's Theatre for Young People Show, will be performed Sept. 13-15. Adapted by Edward Mast for young audiences, "Jungalbook" is the beloved tale of a baby raised by wolves, befriended by a bear named Baloo and a panther named Bagheera.
