Theatre Department to Hold Auditions

January 3, 2013

Averett University's theatre department will hold auditions for the "Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged" on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. in Pritchett Auditorium. Interested persons of various ages are encouraged to try out and should come prepared with a 30 second to one minute monologue.

The "Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. February 21-23. The production is a parody of plays written by William Shakespeare in short form. It relies heavily on improvisation, which allows characters to have spontaneous conversations with each other or the audience.

For more information about the auditions please call Theatre Professor Richard Breen at 434-791-5711.
