Celebrating Black History

February 1, 2013

For more than 35 years, Black History Month has been celebrated in the United States. Prior to the month-long celebration, there was a week-long celebration that began around 1926. Averett, like the rest of country, has a slate of activities planned throughout the month to celebrate.

We will be meeting at the intersection of Holbrook and Ross streets. The tour costs $5. For more information and to reserve your spot, contact Joyce Wilburn at 434-770-1974.
