Women's Leadership Circle Celebrates International Women's Day

February 27, 2013

Recognizing the University's legacy as a women's college, and in celebration of International Women's Day March 8, the Women's Leadership Circle Series will host Lenora Billings-Harris, international diversity expert. Billings-Harris will speak at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 in the multipurpose room of the Student Center (second floor). The event is free and open to the public.

Billings-Harris will speak on "Women Leaders: Removing Barriers to Success," and will explore strategies, best practices and more from examples of powerful women making a difference. Come hear about influential women and the path that brought them to their current situation, recommendations for women going forward and what organizations need to do to get past the glass ceiling and support women.

Billings-Harris is the celebrated author of "Trailblazer" and "The Diversity Advantage," both of which are for sale in The Schoolfield House Booksellers. The books will also be available for signing after the lecture.
