A Fun Show to Delight all Ages

September 6, 2013

The theatre department's first production of the season, "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" combines "The Three Little Pigs" and "Little Red Riding Hood" into one fast-paced comedy. Stuck in the middle of the stories, is Cornelius B.B. Wolf, who just wants something to eat. This year's Theatre for Young People Series production will be performed Sept. 19-20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 21 at 2:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Student Center.

"I love it, I think it is really funny and hopefully everyone will enjoy it," said Averett Theatre Professor Richard Breen, who is directing the play. "The wolf ends up getting the raw end of the deal from just about everyone; he gets hurt in good old Three Stooges fashion a lot."

Tickets for the production are $9 for adults and $7 for students/senior citizens. They may be purchased on the night of the show or in advance by calling 434-791-5712.
