Academic Support Center Recertified

October 21, 2013

The University's academic support center has been recertified through the College Reading and Learning Association International Tutor Training Program Certification (CRLA-ITTPC). Congratulations to Holly Kilby, director of academic support, and all of her tutors for their hard work in making this happen!

The CRLA-ITTPC is a coveted academic certification that signifies our tutoring program meets internationally recognized standards of quality.

Work toward certification began in 2010, with certification granted in October of 2012. Over the past month, the center underwent a recertification process and was reapproved. This certification lasts for three years; after which, it must be renewed.

The process is a lengthy one with documentation submitted that involves program models, writing program review reflections and networking with CRLA representatives as they guide directors through the process and provide critiques.
