Annual Student Art Show to be Held at Averett

March 12, 2014

George Bernard Shaw once said "without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable." If you enjoy seeing other's perspectives of the world, or you just enjoy art, you're in for a treat. Averett University's art department will be hosting its annual Student Art Show March 24 through April 21 in the multipurpose room (second floor) of the Student Center. The art show will feature pottery, crafts, sculpture, prints, drawing and painting. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Many of the pieces of art will be on sale — there will be a complete list of students and email addresses for interested individuals who wish to purchase something. Art work that is purchased may not be removed until the end of the show.

For more information about the art show call 434-791-5620.
