Take a Journey Through War Literature

March 17, 2014

Averett University's final lecture in its 1859-Coffeehouse Lecture Series will take a journey through war literature via service-learning. Join English Instructor Toni Gazda on Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Student Center as she discusses "Service-Learning: A Journey Through War Literature." The event is free and open to the public.

Gazda, who is also the University's coordinator of service learning, will discuss her service-learning course, "War in Literature" in which Averett students partnered with local veterans to collectively study American literature inspired by war.
