GPS Program to Offer MBA Classes Through Video Conferencing

February 7, 2011

Averett University's Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) Program has been approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to offer courses leading toward a Master of Business Administration degree through video conferencing at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, the Crossroads Institute in Galax and the New College Institute in Martinsville.

"We are very excited to be able to offer classes through video conferencing for those interested in pursuing a Master's degree," said Katherine Pappas-Smith, regional director of enrollment for the GPS Program. "This will allow us to reach out to these communities and provide opportunities for students who might not have been able to travel to take classes."

Averett University has a projected class start date of April 6. For more information or to register for classes, contact Katherine Pappas-Smith at 434-791-5844 or katherine.pappas-smith@gps.averett.edu.
