New Director of Institutional Research & Effectiveness Joins University

Averett University is pleased to announce that Dr. Metta Alsobrook has joined the University as its new director of institutional research and effectiveness. Alsobrook comes from Texas where she worked at the University of Texas at Dallas.

As director of institutional research and effectiveness, she will serve as the administrator responsible for planning, developing, directing, evaluating and conducting institutional compliance and research. She will also take a lead role in strategic and planning processes and assure institutional compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation standards.

"We are very excited to have someone of Dr. Alsobrook's caliber and breadth of experience join us as our new director of institutional research and effectiveness," said Averett President Dr. Tiffany Franks. "This is a key position within the University and we are fortunate to have her."

Alsobrook received her doctorate from the University of Texas at Dallas, her master's degree from Griffith University in Australia and her bachelor's from the University of Brawijaya in Indonesia.

Alsobrook began working at UT Dallas in 2006. During her time there she served as assessment coordinator for the office of student success and assessment, educational program coordinator for the office of educational enhancement and SACS project coordinator and distance learning coordinator. She also served as the center director at Agape Social Foundation, a non-profit organization in Indonesia; chief operating officer at Myohdotcom Indonesia, LTD and branch manager for Global Net in Indonesia.
