Aviation Camp registration deadline extended to July 1 – contact Travis Williams at 434-791-5705 or travis.williams@averett.edu to reserve your child’s place at the camp! Space is limited.

Experience flight at Averett University! At Averett’s Aviation Camp on July 15, teens interested in flying or in studying aviation will have the opportunity to practice flying in Averett’s new full-motion flight simulator and to take to the skies above Danville with an instructor in one of the University’s planes. Campers will also hear from Averett students studying Aeronautics, meet an Averett alumnus who flies for a living, get a tour of campus and walk away with a host of memories and a certificate to commemorate their day of taking flight.

Quick Facts:


  • Campers must be 15-18 years old / and be 15 by June 5, 2011

  • Date of camp: July 15 (rain date July 22)

  • Registration and payment are due by June 15

  • Cost: $175 per camper
