Cougars Shutout at Randolph-Macon ASHLAND, Va. - The Averett University women's soccer team was defeated by an 11-0 final Wednesday at Randolph-Macon College. The Cougars (1-2) only managed to take four shots in the contest. Sheila Nichols made 14 saves in the match, but gave up 11 goals. She faced 35 Yellow Jackets (2-0) shots on the day. Rachel McLoughlin scored a hat-trick for Randolph-Macon, while Beth Blendell, Leanna Van Osten, and Amy Morejon each added two goals. The Cougars return to action on Saturday when they travel to Hollins University. |
