Mt. Olive Takes Down Cougars MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The Averett University women's soccer team dropped their road match at Mount Olive College by a 6-0 final on Tuesday. Mount Olive had a trio of players with two goals each in the match. Jessica Capps, Valerie Buchite, and Melanie Cobb all had two scores for Mount Olive. Sheila Nichols had 22 saves for the Cougars in the loss. The Cougars fell to 2-3 on the season with the loss, while Mount Olive improved to 2-1. Averett returns to action on Thursday, September 18 when they open their USA South Conference season at home against Ferrum College. |
