Transfer and International Students
International students are not eligible for federally funded financial aid administered by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship programs and therefore should not submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). An international student is a non-resident alien on a non-immigrant visa which permits full time study in the United States. A student must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen (permanent resident) to receive federal financial aid. Please note: Students who have a "Notice of Approval to Apply for Permanent Residence" (Forms I-171 or I-464) or an "Application for Voluntary Departure Under the Family Unity Program" (Form I-797) are NOT eligible for federal financial aid.
