Payment Plan Application

Averett University expects payment arrangements to be completed prior to the start of each academic term.  By paying the full balance due by the due date you avoid additional payment plan fees. Pay-in-full is your most economical option.

Averett University offers traditional students the option of paying their tuition and fee bill in three installments rather than one lump sum. Students who choose to take advantage of this plan are allowed to pay their tuition and fees according to the following payment schedule:

Fall 2012*

• 1st installment: August 13, 2012: (or check-in date, whichever occurs first) 1/3 of Tuition and fees plus $100 payment plan fee.
• 2nd installment: September 14, 2012: 1/3 of tuition and fees
• Final installment: October 12, 2012: remaining balance tuition and fees plus bookstore charges, if any.

Spring 2013*

• 1st installment: January 4, 2013: (or check-in date, whichever occurs first) 1/3 of Tuition and fees plus $100 payment plan fee.
• 2nd installment: February 8, 2013: 1/3 of tuition and fees
• Final installment: March 8, 2013: remaining balance tuition and fees plus bookstore charges, if any.

To calculate the Minimum Amount Due (fall or spring semesters):

Total Semester Charges Less (-): Verified Financial Aid and Scholarships, excluding work-study:(-) *Credit Balance on account (i.e., Payments Received-To-Date)

Equals (=): Installment Plan Amount

Installment Plan Amount ÷3 = Minimum Amounts Due to Averett

1st Installment Amount

+ $100 semester installment plan fee

+ any previous balance

= Minimum Amount Due

The Installment Plan is available to all traditional students, part-time or full-time. The $100 per semester fall or spring) fee is a non-refundable fee for participation in the plan, regardless of the balance. Payments not received by the scheduled due date, will incur a late charge fee of $50. A monthly bill is sent to all authorized users, the student's Averett email account and posted on the Averett PC Self-Service account.

*You may begin paying in June and July to help reduce the Balance Owed for fall semester and then continue paying in November and December to help reduce the Balance Owed for spring semester.
